Yesterday, I got a surprise - a baby anole crept out of one of the cages! My supposed female anole Sprocket turned out to be male, and though he was separated from Leeloo after I found this out, he had clearly proved his manliness already. The egg was laid, incubated, and hatched in a potted plant, completely without my knowledge.
Its name is Pickle, since that's what it left me in - I was totally unprepared for a new little one. Trying to find fruit flies or pinhead crickets on a Sunday of a holiday weekend is NOT easy.
