Breeding problem.....................

i have succesfully gone through all the breeding process and have had eggs which are fertile in an incubator for 53 days............. today i was shocked to see that one of the eggs due to hatch started shrinking in drastically. can anyone tell me what went wrong. have i lost the egg? the other egg of same incubation time is still the same..............help

Keep with it. Add alittle water to the mixture. Not directly to the egg. (warm water would be better then cold.)

Thats what I thought also when I looked at my egg this morning. Then I realised it had hatched and the baby was making its way off across the table.

I would have guess dehydration before anything else.
