Most places that sell live crickets also sell live mealworms. They are usually found in a small fridge. The mealworms can be kept in a fridge for 2 - 3 months, so they are great for those times when you run out of crickets. Please remember to gutload the mealies....at least 24 hours prior to feeding your gecko.

I would get rid of the dead mealies....yuck!

i know about the feeding but the thing is i coudnt get the food today and i only have dried mealies. so do i fed them or wait till i find some crix? thats my problem i knw abotu feeding.

You can TRY to feed the dead mealies...but I doubt your gecko will want to eat them. Call the store and ask if they carry the live ones - those are much better. If they carry the live mealies, I would go get some ASAP.

i normaly feed crix. the store in town where i sent my dad normaly stocks them but were outa stock. they normaly have atleast some in even fi they are a bit unhealthy. but they didnt. and i was out and it was late so most shops had clsoed by the time i got to wehre i maybe able to get them so only the big shops were open ie pets at home. which is a chain shop and doesnt d anythign for reptiles so i was kidna stuck. i just wanted to knwo if the dead mealies wil do anyharm

The dried mealworms won't do any harm at all. But as Kendergirl said, its unlikely that your baby will eat them.

How long will it be until you can get more live food?

If its a few days, its fine...in my opinion. I know babies are a bit different but these guys are like little 'desert camels'.

When people live in remote areas, I always suggest checking out bug retailers online. You can order practically any kind of prey online through websites these days, making it very easy to feed a variety of bugz. Try searching for online sellers in the UK.

Secondly, why not breed some yourself? My guys are all fed crickets and you can breed those but I HATE them! I'd recommend breeding meal worms or lobster roaches (when your leo is a bit bigger). Roaches are great but may be too big now? Not sure.

Hope that helps a tiny bit...
