How long after becoming gravid will female ATBs still eat???

bhmorrill Jul 04, 2005 03:26 PM

I am just wondering because my '02 5 foot plus female ATB is looking nice and big, but she is still accepting food. Do they usually go off food at some point? Also, my male is still eating away, and has never stopped. Do the males usually go off feed at any point?

Thanks,

Ben

Most females will feed for about 2 months, maybe slightly longer. Sometimes an oddball female will feed almost until birth, but that's pretty rare.

Altough quite a few will take the occasional small prey from time to time, certainly not regularly. I've seen the quite a few times.
