HI my dad and I want to try to keep (a) chameleon(s). What would be a good starter chameleon and where is a good place to get it from or any good breeders. Could u tell us the care of the certain chameleon.

I'd suggest reading some of the articles on the following sites before you decide about what chameleon you are interested in. The species most of us started off with was either a veiled, a panther, or a jackson's. I don't consider the jackson's a beginner species unless you happen to live in a cool humid climate. Any cham will be really different than any other type of lizard, so there is a LOT to learn before you do it. The following links should give you a good starting place. As for getting one, veileds are the least expensive, but there are also a lot of poorly bred babies around so be careful. Anyone who offers tiny hatchlings younger than 3 months is not a great source and may have treated the parents and babies poorly. It's best to wait until you find an older baby (3 months or older) as they tend to be better established and easier to feed. Here are some sites to read.
