Today's Salmon Litter......part of a question answered.

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 05, 2005 04:52 AM

Well we just had a small litter of Salmons and normals born today. All are healthy and look great!
This litter was produced by a very orange Salmon sibling female bred back to a Salmon male. The male Salmon that fathered this litter is named George. George is also the father of our 2004 Salmon Aby litter. There was question if there was a Jungle in the 'wood pile" and could George be a Salmon Jungle due to him being born a long side Jungles & Salmon Jungles. If he were a Salmon Jungle it would have helped explain the major stripes and aberrant patterns in the Aby litter. Well needless to say there are no Jungles in this litter born today. So that theory is now ruled out.
We are expecting another Salmon Aby litter in August from the same pairing of adults from last year. It will be interesting to see if last year's results are repeated. We think there is something to our Aby bloodline, we just need to figure it out. That is what makes breeding Boas so much fun!

Thanks for looking!

Prove to be a Jungle,(I know it would've been nice to get another litter of Salmon/Jungles on the ground!)but, some serious congratulations are in order! It will be really cool to see where the Aby line takes you...I think something you said in your post the other day about the possibility of new & exciting mutations just waiting to be discovered,is right on the money...the thrill of finding them & bringing them to light,is priceless! it takes some work, and some conviction, but, the reward for that kind of satisfaction cannot be measured in dollar signs!!! keep up the good work!..."uuuhhmmm,are those Aby's co-dominant,like hypos"?(*lol*)

....for either of us so far....but I like your odds better! All I got left is Miss Piggy and I'm not sure she's not going to slug!

Good luck with the coming litters!

Peace - TC

I will trade you one greentree frog and 2.3 proven breeder hedgehogs for the entire litter!

I like it when the questions get answered...
I believe that the anticipation on "pos" litters is greater than the ones with known outcomes.
