feeding new chameleon

medusa609 Jul 05, 2005 11:23 AM

I will be recieving my sambava panther tomorrow. I have never had a chameleon shipped to me so I am going to assume he will be a littler stressed. So I was wondering if I should try feeding him the day I get him or wait a little?? Thank you very much!!

Hi there! You can try feeding him but he will most likely not eat the first day. Let him get acclimated to his new cage and where his water source is located, etc. The next day he will most likely be ready to eat. Shipping does stress chams but he should really be fine. Make sure you're at home to receive him! Good luck and hope to see some pics soon!
