Hey froggieb! Thanks!

The MHD I have been working with is now up to 2 nightcrawlers a day and doing better. The moist earth in the dish did the trick. It also worked on the polychrus. The MHD actually waits by his dish at feeding time, watches the worms for a while and then eats. After that its time for a soak. I wish he'd take the third worm but I'll keep trying. Thanks.

If he's taking 2 worms consistantly then I wouldn't really worry about it. Thats a good feeding and each dragon seems to have it's own capacity. I have seldom seen a male take more than one worm and my females eat anywhere from 1 to 4 depending on the day and the female.

I have a small female that jumped from the wall of the reptarium to a vine in the center of the viv and from the vine to the other wall of the reptarium to take a worm I was offering to another female. She only ate two worms, which is normal for her, but it was something to see her fly across the viv like that! My granddaughter informed me that she actually used another dragon on the vine for a platform so she could perform this feat!

After she took her two worms the female I had been offering the worms to ate 3 and the one that was the leap-base on the vine only ate 1. The one that was on the vine is the largest but she rarely takes more than one worm a day.

It's an individual thing!
