temp. for crickets

trog Jul 05, 2005 12:54 PM

I want to keep a batch of crickets in my garage (not for breeding, just for gut loading -- my 5 year old complains about all the chirping at night), but I'm worried that the temperature fluctuations might not be too healthy for them. Probably ranges from low 60s to as high as 85 during the day.
Thanks.

They do best when maintained at temps between 75-80degrees. Im assuming that your garage hits the 60's at night and stays (at least during the summer) around 80-85 during the day. If this is the case and you are worried that it may be too cold at night just get a small under tank heater and set it on a timer so it turns on at night and off in the morning!

Good luck
