Day 4... what do you guys think?

pspguy Jul 15, 2003 07:25 AM

OKay, we're moving into day 5 having my new baby home. The temp is very good in the tank, and sometime about midnight last night she got fairly more active then she has been. I watched her for a little while, just kind of stalk around the cage, wiggle her tail a bit, then back into the hide (yes, she is going into this new one that I bought her). I awoke this morning to 2 stools throughout the night, which is a bit of a concern for me. I am not sure what she has eaten the past 2 days, there have been a few crickets in there, but of course they crawl somewhere and die, so hard to say if she ate them, but anyway, 1 stool was a white or dull gray color, and the other one was fairly large. Anyone have any ideas about this? Should I be concerned, or was the stress and all just keeping her kinda constipated?

Thanks
Jeff

The white ones are urates(gecko pee). You should really stop worrying about your leo. If it is eating, is defecating, and is active, then it is fine. And even if it isnt eating yet, you shouldnt be worried as it is still adjusting to its new home.

Your gecko sounds very normal to me. I am also much like you and think or worry for the worst over the smallest thing.

From what you have said your Gecko sounds healthy enough. Give it alittle time and I'm sure he/she (I forget which) will start eatting and living a happy normal life. Safe in the knowledge that her owner is keeping a very watchful eye on every move she makes and every poo she makes.

Jil.
