maybe the smaller carpets like the IJ (papuan i think they are called now). I have a 6-7 foot JCP (jungle) and i kept it in a 40 gallon breeder size till he reached 5 foot then he wanted more room. mine is now in an 80 gallon tank.
I would recommend a minimum of 4x2x2' (1200mm x 600 x 600) enclosure. Ideally, 4x3x3'. Many carpets (and diamonds) will use perches and branches, so some hight is ideal (but not necessary).
