I think youre wasting half a tank by only filling it up half full.
I also think all that small colored gravel will look yummy to your turtle and youll be dealing with impaction problems soon.
Have a look at my 120 gallon. Notice the large gravel and the canopy hood which allows me to fill the tank all the way up.

Also, just wondering, is that a MVB or just a regular spot light? If its just a regular heating lamp then you need to get a UVB bulb, especially if your turtle is young and growing.
How is he doing, by the way, eating well?? I hope he is feeling better
I agree with Iturnrocks that the gravel is probably asking for trouble though...

I'm going to remove the gravel a little bit later on if and when he gets older. Also, yes the mercury bulb supplies the turtle with UVA/UVB lighting and also heat. Thanks for the replies guys. 
Nice pictures but I would remove the gravel now instead of later to avoid potential problems.
