Has anyone asked John_White ....

michael56 Jul 05, 2005 08:44 PM

How does he get the photos that are shown on this forum? Does he have a camera surgically implanted on his arm? How many ponds does he have on his property in Virginia? How many snake species? Is that lake with the Northern feeding ... on the property too? Is he a professional photographer who specializes (without pay) in providing us with pictures that leave us breathless? I wanna know, who the heck is John White!!?

Michael, and everyone else who believes that J.W. is a conspiricy of Kingsnake.com to keep us entertained!

I read (I think on fieldherpers) that he sort of stumbled upon that snake feeding in the lake with waves and all. He also answered a few other questions on there too, but I can't remember. I miss the old fieldherpers website, with all the seperate forums and all.lol.

Am I mistaken in that, does'nt "Kingsnake" have a variety of forums?

Heck besides, I'd have to jump all over the internet to poke fun at oyu. Sorry, you!
Speaking of field herping, do you get to go out much yourself? As I've said before, where I live is pretty much devoid of any reptilian life and very few amphibians to boot! In particular, there are no nerodia/semi-aquatic snakes within many, many hundreds of miles of here. (I can't qualify our garters here as water lovers).
So, I'm (happily) resigned to experiencing my field trips in my "Florida Room". Even then, I don't seem to be able to get "live action" shots like John W.

well if you are I will go ahead and answer. I do go out quite a bit, but not too lately because I have not had much time. I don't find much mroe thna a bunch of midland watersnakes and soemtimes ratsnakes and such. You need to move a little bit south so you can pick at me a in person.lol. All 6' 4" 270lbs of me. (I lost weight from workign so muchlol.) lol. that would be so much fun. I am just a big wimp and you would bully m allt he time and you would have to look at that magazine with the big tad pole. So how big do you think it is?

Yeah, but my neck is getting sore from looking up!

Moving south would be a great adventure (for me) however, my wife won't increase the distance between ourselves and the grandchildren. So, I'm relying on you to bring the South, north! I used to rear ratsnakes, kings, boas, etc, etc. but that was before I was able to aquire my wonderful watersnakes!!

And, oh yes ... aaaaaaaah! I hate that slug!
