I recently made a trip from Canada into the states and found many turtles crossing the roads. Just prior to leaving I finally found a common snapping turtle that wasn't DOR, which happened to be a juvie (about 1 year?) I know that in June it is common to come across common snapping turtles while they search for places to lay eggs.
I was wondering if this is the same with alligator snapping turtles? I am hoping to head further south next year. How far north is the alligator snapper's range?
