Thinkin of getting a MHD

Lizarddude720 Jul 06, 2005 08:59 PM

Howdy

ive been thinking of getting a new reptile to get. Im am very good with agamas and geckos. i cant decide rite now what to get. My choices are a MHD, a Asian Water Dragon, a Leaf tailed gecko or a Panther chameleon(Im proably not gonna get 1). My question is what are the "wonders" of keeping MHD. Ive done my research on all these animals but today i was at petsmart just walkin through to see what i could get for my crested geckos or my bearded dragons, when i saw this little brown dragon come running across the store to my legs and when i picked him up it seemed nice, interesting and looked like a good pet but i felt sorry for it because the petsmart people have no idea what doing with these reptiles; I alwasy out smart them.

Sorry bout the story i know it isnt really important but i thought yal like to know y i want to get one of these little guys. Ok well tell me what makes them a good pet compared to my other choices.

Thanks
Big P IV

dont know much about the gecko or chameleon, but I love both the mountain horned and chinese water dragons. wanted to assure you about petsmart, though. I work for them and have found that the reptile care varies from store to store. It really depends weather or not any of the specialty dept. staff is a reptile person or not. contrary to popular opinion, medical care IS given to sick animals in the store (we even hand feed baby birds), and the genereal protocol for the care of all live animals is very good, it just is not species specific, so you tend to get some people who do better with them than others.
