Size Question for Four Month Beardies

TheDrew1 Jul 06, 2005 11:43 PM

I just received my new pair of leucistics for Dragons Den last week and they are awesome. I cant wait to breed them, the male is a leucistic pastel, so he is white with orange, red, and peach highlights. And the female is all white and getting whiter and whiter.

Ok what i really want to ask, is that they are around 4 months old and the male is 13" and the female is 13.5", now im pretty sure they are pretty big for their age, does anyone have any input?

Their color sounds great! I can't wait to see their hatchlings.... in a year. mine is just under a foot at 4 months. Even though they are a little big (compared to US dragons) for their age, you should still wait until the female is 18 months to 2 years. I'm sure you're doing all your research and will be a great breeder!

...i do a lot a research on all subjects of all the reptiles that i keep. I like to give the best conditions to my beardies, so they thrive and are happy. They are my pets first and breeders second. I just cant wait to see the growth rates on these dragons because i have heard great things about the leucistic line from Dragons Den that they grow to 20" .

I also have several other breeders that i cant wait to get some eggs from. Ive put a lot of time and money into finding the largest and best looking dragons and i think a have a pretty good collection so far. Right now i cant wait for my 465 gram male to breed to my 450 gram female. The male is an awesome sandfire, full bodied yellow with lavender side bars. I purchased him from aussiedragons.com (Guido) and the female is an awesome red dragon from Kakadu.

Awesome! I am waiting to breed my Sandfire Red/Gold X Peach Hypo female from Dragon-planet with my Yellow male from Scales. I think i will look for another male if he doesn't get big enough. The female, Feng, is getting huge, fast so i don't think i have to worry about her! As for temperment, they are both great pets and don't run from me while outside and eat from my hand, and are generally tame and friendly.

My 4 month old is 14 inches, 200 grams. His father is a snow x sandfire bred by Dragons Den,I belive that he weights in around 600 grams. You got an awsome bloodline to work with.

this is my baby Torque

and this is his daddy Turbo, he is 2 years now. He is kinda skinny in this picture due to it being breeding season and him being more interested in the girls then food.

and this is a picture of Turbo (on the left) and Jet, the mother to my baby
