I was wondering how do you interact with your BRP's in developing a rapport with them. If you handle them daily, for how long? Do they acknowledge caressing and stroking daily? Does your scent play a part in recognizing you?

I handle mine everyday. For at least 10 minutes but at the most and hour or two. At first he was kind of snippy and a bit nervous, but now he his much more comfortable with me touching him.

My two are held at least once every other day for a good amount of time - at least an hour. I try to give them a little comatose time for after they feast on meals.. but otherwise they've really become human-normalized; they've visited our local art and wine festivals, my campus, and the Renaissance Faire here. They seem to like people, to a certain extent like any other animal, and have never attempted to strike at anyone.
They've turned out to be kittens wearing scales. =)
I'm pretty sure they understand the scent of someone that lives with them, cleans them, holds them after a while. At least as much as I've noticed.

I appreciate the feedback. I was studying my herps behavioral patterns and wanted to know if at some point they get annoyed.
