No pics yet but my first clutch just hatched. My butter had laid 8 eggs outside of her lay box and unfortunately I didn't find them right away so they were dehydrated. I thought I'd killed them all but 3 made it. Two hatched out perfect and look fantasic. The last one has a slight kink in it's tail and an irregular saddle pattern. I think the poor conditions at the beginning may have affected the baby. Any advice on what to do with the kinked baby? I know not to breed it but do most people just keep them as pets in their private collection or what?

We had a baby with a kinked tail last year. We ended up giving it to a second grade teacher as a classroom pet (the wife of my son's teacher). One mildly worried phone call when the shed didn't come off right at the kink (it did come off after a bath) and otherwise "Petunia" (blame the second graders for the name) is alive, growing well and healthy, with no other apparent problems a year later.
