so here is a clarification from Bob Haase himself:
the dark alterna morph is a female from in town; she was found by a surprised women gathering her laundry off the clothes line in her back yard in the morning. The snake was in the process of swallowing a large Sceloporus poinsettii.
The dark blairs is a male that came from up behind the Outback; was found by a local man. It was also during the day, but late in the afternoon.
The 2 subadults from US 285 were found north of Sanderson in the road. If you look at the male you will see he has lost quite a bit of his tail...likely chopped off by a passing tire.
The small female with some alternates was east of Sanderson.
The 2 classic dark blairs are a subadult pair that came from east of Sanderson. Both found on the same night by none other than John Fraser.
