Jeff Schofield Jul 07, 2005 06:58 PM

Going to eastern Europe and actually will have time to do a little hunting.I will have enough of a problem avoiding the landmines in the former Yugoslavia never mind the hots, lol.Any help securing a field guide with range maps would be greatly appreciated,Jeff

There are any number of more narrowly regional works, but a good field guide is "Reptiles and Amphibians of Europe" by E. Nicholas Arnold, in the Princeton Field Guides series (Princeton University Press). Copyright is 2002, and the ISBN is 0-691-11413-7. It is similar in size and feel to the Peterson guides.

Cheers,

Bob Hansen
