I don't know how many of you frequent the Caging forum, but in case you don't, I started a discussion on the cages that are used by snake breeders in Great Britain and Europe.

It is very interesting that they seem to not have the common problems as often with even difficult species. They give snakes ventilation, room, and are not a slave to bottom heat as the only way to heat a cage.

As Chris Harper pointed out in that thread, their philosophy is to keep fewer snakes better, rather than the common philosophy in the states of keeping as many as possible in as small a space as possible.

I think FR mentioned something to this effect in the past. Since he has opened the forum to thought-provoking posts, I thought I'd share as well.
