i was doing some reading for stick insect care cuz i just found one and read that it is a good idea to keep wood lice (or pill bugs, rollie pollies, whatever you wanna call em) on the bottom to keep the substrate clean since they eat fungus, bacteria, and feces. so i was wondering, since these are essentially harmless, can i maybe put a colony into my timor monitor's cage to help out (or maybe even take care of) the cleaning? is it ok if he eats them (since im sure he will... i think)
if i am not sure about pesticide use, would the pesticides go away if i quarantine them for some time before introduction? since he wil probably dine on them...
also, can stick insects make up some or all of their diet, i read that they are good in the chameleon forum (these indian stick insects are apparently all female so they are easy to breed)? or are they too big to be swllowed whole by a timor?
thanks for readin the long post
