Egg Question.. day 46

leoluver Jul 08, 2005 11:35 AM

Hi, I candled my eggs a few days ago, this is my first clutch ever to be near hatching.. and I could see very apparant veins and the egg glowed a very bright pink. Is this normal for this time period or should I be seeing something dark in there soon as they get closer to hatch time? The eggs have definately gotten larger then when they were laid (fatter?)

Mom is a normal as far as we know, but her background is really unknown, Dad is an albino..

Sorry if these are stupid questions I am just pretty excited and anxious! The eggs were incubated at 80-82 degrees for females...

Do these look normal for this time period? the pinkish lines were my "top" marks and all the other crap on em is from the vermiculite they were laid on...

TIA

Ali

I think that you should be seeing dark spots in the eggs since the babies should have formed if its really close to them hatching. I have yet to deal with gecko eggs but I know that when it was almost time for my beardie eggs to hatch that I could see babies moving around in the eggs. Just wait and see what happens thats all you can really do.

The eggs look fine. When I incubate at 83 degrees mine take 56-57 days to hatch. At 80-82 degrees it could take a little longer.
