I know there are a couple other airlines that have air cargo fleets, that will ship snakes. I believe Northwest airlines does it, you can just bring your shipment to their counter before the flight and off he goes, no wait and no interrogation.
As for the names of other airlines, I'm not sure who they are but I know there's a couple more besides Delta and Northwest.

Good Luck,

Ship your boa in a cotton pillow case (or other breathable bag), surrounded by foam packing peanuts (or crumpled newspaper) in a styrofoam-lined box with a few holes punched in it. Don't ship your snake if it's going to be 95 degrees outside where you are and where it's going to - watch the weather channel for the right time/temps to ship.
My suggestion would be to send the boa UPS next-day air by 10:30. That way, you can drop off the snake once it has cooled down a little outside, and the person receiving the animal can get it before it gets too hot outside. However, they do need to be there to receive the boa. If that is a problem - follow the other posts about shipping live animals. I haven't had a problem shipping UPS next-day air by 10:30 before, but that doesn't mean problems don't exist. Good luck!

Thank you for your advice that was the way i was leaning... UPS priority so that he has to be away from people as little as possable and he gets there asap... but thank you so much for the advice i will do that!

Sincerely,
Rose

There is enough air inside so holes aren't needed.
