i found a pretty normal corn today at a shop i was looking at, im thinking about going back getting him.

If he's just a skinny little one, just make sure he is eating first. Ask when feeding day is, and ask if you can watch. You could even offer to put down a small deposit, stating that if he is feeding (as they will claim he is) you will put that towards the purchase.

Any reptile shows near you? MUCH better value for your $$$
