What does a tokay need???

Is a 18in. x 18in x 18in big enough for an adult tokay? What's a great set up for them, etc.

No that is much too small. A 30 gal is arguably big enough,,,,,some people say bigger. I would go with a 29 gal though....they are taller. Use some kind of humidity holding substrate like eco eath(coco fiber) or mulch. Put some fake or live plants on there, some branches. And of course hiding places....they are big on hiding. Paper towel roles and egg cartons are perfect for this and inexpensive. Now i dont and never have owned tokays........so i think that i recall them needing a basking spot of 85-90. So you will need a heat lamp. Tokays are truely awesome. I dont know if you own one or not already but good luck with it if you do!

The only cage that would be too big a cage is on that you buy for this bugger but don't plant and decorate appropriately. If you are going to go that size just make sure you know that it require extra work to make it a healthy environment.

Do some research and talk to the folks at D n J reptiles as they have been breeding tokays for a while. OR better yet look up naturalistic vivariums. They tend to be the best for keeping good humidity and well ventilated enclosures.
