Hey everyone!

This is my first time posting here, Im mainly on the chameleon forum, but just have a few questions about Pixie frogs.
1.) Is there a species or sub-species of these frogs, or is there basically only one species? Ive heard about two seperate frogs, one that grows to the size of a dinner plate, and one that differs greatly in size.
2.) Any great care sheets of advice on Pixie frogs would be fabulous! Ive been researching them for the last couple of weeks, but would like to know everything I must before I make my final purchase!
3.) Im having trouble finding a place to purchase a large pixie frog. Ive found the babies, but no luck with the adult or sub-adults!

No need to worry, Ive dealt with arrow frogs, mantella's, pac man and many more...but am very interested in pixies! Thanks again, and any input would be greatly appreciated!
Michele

Pyxie frogs are great pets! I had a dwarf pyxie & just loved him so much. The dwarf variety will be the small one (p. edulus) & will grow about the size of a pacman. The giant (p. adspersus- not sure about the spelling there) will be huge & will require a 55 gallon or larger tank when it reaches adulthood. Care info is hard to find (at least it was when I was looking), but everyone seems to agree they require the same care as pacman frogs, so you can search for pacman care or buy the horned frog care booklet by Philippe de Vosjoli & follow its care instructions.
