About a week ago I posted with the above subject line. Not really asking when they would finally pip. I just couldn't take it any longer. The anticipation was killing me and I was really concerned about the hatchlings. Day 60, movement in the eggs, but none had pipped. The eggs were feeling a little dry on top and not as supple as expected. Would they be able to cut through the eggs? I went ahead and cut a small window. All 4 were moving and appeared to be full term. Two days later the first 2 came out and a couple of days later the other 2 crawled out of their eggs. 2.2 50% possible het for albino. Not the most favorable ratio for 50% hets but the perfect ratio for a joint project. 2 are going to a friend that owns the female, Alex. He's a 10 year old just starting out with balls. This will be a good start for him. He should be able to breed the male back to mom next year and if she has a hidden gene, it should prove out. By the time the female hatchling is big enough to breed, I should be able to give him my het male, the father. If all goes well he will produce his first albino in a couple of years.
All 4 look like dad, very dark.
