Hello, my geckos have being laying quite a few eggs....
They layed a big, white, not moldy, not dented egg in late may. It is now July 15 and still no hatch but now the egg is dicoloring and
for some reason it is starting to collapse. Why could this be? Is it because the air is so humid that the egg is softening? If so is there a way to save it? And if you think it is because of something
else please tell me what you think and how i might be able to save it.. Thanx

What do you have your eggs in? My leo laid a clutch may 26th and mine havent hatched yet either but it can take up to aorund 70 days depending on the temp. I think usualy when the egg starts t collapse and mold it is either infertile or the embryo has died. I know if you catch it early then you can save(if there ever was something inside it) it but im not sure how

Of course i have it in a incubator, it wierd it was fine before but ive heard discoloration i heard thats normal near the end of the incubation, the thing im so worried about is the collapsing.
Plz help me

Try putting a lightly dampened paper towel or napkin over the egg, it could be collapsing to due it needing moisture.

Exactly when did this happen to your egg? That same thing has happened to me The egg began to dimple in and I had large dents in it. The next morning my little baby girl gecko hatched. The next one is doing the same thing. But it seems like the baby has changed her mind. Because she hasn't come out yet. Mine were laid in may too. Hatched htis saturday. U might be a parent pretty soon>>>>>!
