another feeding question

skeletor121 Jul 09, 2005 11:11 AM

As I posted a couple days ago, my first Ball (about a month old) fed for the first time Sunday night (5 days after getting him home). I have heard that you are suppose to feed them every 7-10 days, which seems reasonable. My question is are they suppose to poop before you try and feed them again? Mine hasn't gone yet and I don't want to try and rush the second feeding on him. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not to worry Scott. When they run outta room at the front it'll come out the back . Seriously, you can try a warm bath in a couple inches of water. Leave her in for 20 minutes or so. The heat has an affect on their bowls. Not hot, just about luke warm. If you want to wait a little past the 7-10 days it won't hurt the snake. On the other hand, if she gets antsy and starts lookin' for somethin' go ahead and feed her. Don't get overly worried at this point.
