when i was first getting the idea to create a vivarium,i intended on housing redeys and phylomedusa frogs with darts.now after doing a bit of reasearch,i now decided against it.my only question is,if one where to place say a large wild caught phylomedusa frog,(phylomedusa bicolor) who is more than able to eat a dart if it wanted,do you guys think it would avoid it? i mean shouldnt it know better, being from the same area in the wild that many poison darts come from.id imagine there would be an inate knowledge not to eat them.now whites tree frogs, well id assume they would attempt right away since they have no natural knowledge of darts and would see them as a potential meal.what do you guys think? are some of these behaviors natural/born with,or are they all learned from trial and error? even if the tree frog would know to avoid the darts,i still think it wouldnt be a good idea to house them together for several other reasons.thats not the point of this post.when i was considering mixing, this thought ran through my mind and i was just curious.since i decided against it,ill never know. so any thoughts?
