How long should pinks be frozen???

steen Jul 15, 2003 01:11 PM

A little background info: I work in a research lab, and have gotten permission from my boss to take home unwanted pinkies for my new hatchling (arriving next week!). My question is this: If the pinkies were euthanized with C02, how long should they be frozen before I give them to my snake? I'm not overly concerned about parasites, because these animals were raised in a sterile environment for research purposes...however, I want to be sure that they're frozen long enough to allow the C02 to dissipate and anything that they could have (however slim the chances) to die off. Thanks in advance for your help!

Kristine

I think they are fine to feed as soon as they are dead, I don't think the CO2 will do anything.
