18 out of 19 new arrivals

I tried breeding in my class this year for the first time and didn't hibernate the snakes either. I wasn't expecting much. My first clutch just hatched with 18 out of 19 surviving and the second clutch looks to have about 8 good eggs. Some questions with the newborns - a good temperature to keep them in? I have them in deli cups and should I raise the temp. after feeding? How old before I give them away to my students? The first feeding - after the first shed - is this correct? I think I read the shed thing about the first feeding, however I can't find it again. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Brian

congrats.......

.......after they shed..try pinks as food.....

with deli cups you can use 8 oz delis with a 1 oz water bowl by cutting a knotch in the top side of the 1 oz cup

use paper, paper towel pieces or aspen as beding...

they will get into the 1 oz cup and all the water will come out so use only a little water....

as they eat.....you can sell them after they start feeding...up to you how many times.......some people say 3 or 5 times....sometimes 1 is enough........they eat they eat......

/.........have fun.......

oh.....82 degrees all the time is good.......79 at least and no more than 86 if possible

I am actually giving them all away to my students and former students. I only require that the parents of the children sign a semi-contract showing that they realize what they are doing and the responsibilities involved with a snake. And lastly, if they change their mind, they return the snake to my class. I hope to give snakes away for many years to come. I will try to post pictures this week. I have some great designs on their bodies - I am still trying to figure classifications. I believe both parents were Okeetee corns.
