worm snake question.

would there be worm snakes in orth carolina and virginia?where should i look for them?do they bite?

Yes, there are Eastern Worm snakes in Va./NC Look under logs, leaf litter, boards, etc. As far as being bit, that would be very rare, but if it were to happen, I'd say the wormsnake could do about the same amount of damage an earthworm could.

Its a little late to be finding them now lol... but you may have hope lifing objects in moist places... i found one the other day in NC in the morning under a peice of plastic.. in the summer they usually go under the ground.. spring is the best time to look for them. im my opinion..

I agree you won't find them now, early spring, but also in the fall, are the best times. That's when they breeding and they usually come to the surface to find a mate. Hill sides under small rocks or litter, basically the same places you find ringneck snakes.
