Smallest Surviving Hatchling You've Had?

Christy Talbert Jul 09, 2005 02:51 PM

Hi all,

I hatched this 25 gram baby a couple of weeks ago. He was strong, but I assist fed him mouse pinks twice because I didn't want him to go too long without eating.

Yesterday he ate a mouse fuzzy on his own!

What's the smallest runt you have ever had survive?

Thanks, Christy

I hatched twins two years ago and they were each 12g a piece. They grew normally the one I kept is around 1000g.

I hatched a pair of twins last year that were each 27g, one of them is still doing well a year later, however his twin didn't make it. He's still a bit on the small side but he's over 100g now.

Had a pair of twins (fem.) hatch out in May 04. One was 27, the other 31 grams. They're now over 700 grams and pounding small rats. No problem feeding at the onset with a live fuzzy, then rat pinks, and so on.
