Naturalistic Enclosure

What would be a good substrate? Feeding outside enclosure obviously

I was thinking a mix of sand and potting soil with a few palins grasses/logs. Maybe a 20L, for a western.

I wanna get one in october so im planning ahead lol.

Have you considered orchid mix substrate or cyprus mulch (cheapest type)both are sold in large bags at garden stores, home depot and I think look great plus absorbant .
Than add some driftwood ,plastic plant if you want and in a 20 long looks great tho I find the dark color of cyprus mulch or orhid mix with wood to look great no plants its a "rustic" look.
