Measurement question

I want to build an enclosure for my BTS. I found out that Lowe's has melamine boards that are 16" X 48". Is this bigger or smaller than a board that is 24" X 36", floor area wise?

16" x 48" = 5 sq ft.
24" x 36" = 6 sq ft.
At least I think so (I am not too good at doing math in my head)
