Here is a California King I found while herping the Las Vegas area last weekend. To see other pictures from this trip, visit my website and click on the Las Vegas button at the bottom of the page.

I not only have a Mojave phase Cal King, I've been wanting to see Las Vegas locale specimens. Specimens from there & Joshua Tree NP were bred to produce most of the current Desert phase Cal Kings, and the subsequent 50/50 specimens.

I've seen very little mention anywhere on the Internet about Nevada "Cal" King specimens, especially those around Las Vegas. They are particularly curious and confident; wonderful specimens for both appearance & behavior.

Thanks for much for sharing, how timely!

(Your photo strongly resemebles my own Cal King with the irregular banding, although mine has an almost perfect Cal King dot on his head.)
