These emerged from their eggs yesterday

This is my first attempt at breeding balls. I've been breeding other snakes for years. I've recently entered the ball game but none of my morphs were of age or size for this year so I practiced a little with a couple of my son's pets. I've looked at thousands of farmed balls over the last couple of years and these that hatched look very different from what I see being brought in, mainly from a color standpoint. Possibly after their first shed the yellow will come in. At this time they are a very redcinnamon color.

When placed with another animal you can really see the color difference. We'll see what they look like after first shed.

It's nice to get some practice in, prior to launching the morph breeding. For a seasoned snake breeder as your self, a few changes but nothing major. Balls are pretty straight forward. A little different cooling and warming. But eggs and neonates are big as you know, so they take off real quick.

They will show there "true" coloration after their first shed. Good Luck, Tom.

Hey Mark,

Nice job! After they shed you will definitely see their color much better. When a couple of weeks pass the color will come in even more. I have experienced this with Pastels a lot, their color comes in more and more as time passes. Take care.

Best Wishes,

Tony
