Ultrasound is only effective in detecting follicles of females if only larger than 1 mm in diameter; therefore, it can only determine a sexually mature female from immature females and males or to confirm a suspected pregnant female.
X-rays will only detect a female with follicles with a diameter of ten mm or more.
So neither is likely to be truly effective. I've yet to find any images that may help you.
Eversion of hemepenes by the male or deposits of sperm plugs (and of course actual breeding) are the only accurate clues. Check out the "Determining Gender" section on this site - in particular the "Gender by Behavior" exercises. http://bluetongueskinks.net/blue.htm
