Tank plans.. please help..

Breathingbywires Jul 10, 2005 02:03 PM

Well if you had of read my last post you'd realize it's time for me to rebuild. My mother in law decided to Raid the whole bedroom including my beardie tank (without my beardie in it of course) not knowing he could then no longer be placed back into the old one. I had built the last one abouta year and a half ago out of melamine and plexi glass and being as they are both so pourus I had to throw out EVERYTHING and now I'm starting out fresh. (I have brought my dragon little buddy back to my house he is no longer staying at my boyfriends) and now it's time to re build.

I was wondering if anyone had any good plans I could follow to build a new home for my dragon. If so it would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I thought I had more sites with details on building tanks but I guess I thought wrong, not that I can think today let alone type lol. I do have one though that was posted a while ago and I saved it because I thought it was very interesting and creative other than that I'll need a new tank in a few months for the baby I'm keeping. I read your post on the whole raid incident and that just shocked me to no end. I don't see how people can use chemicals like that in a small enclosed space like a bedroom. I personally hate chemicals and I won't use them unless I have no other choice but in that case I'd at least have the common sense to remove the beardie tank and everything it needed before spraying. Sorry about the rambling here's the site http://708designs.netfirms.com/customcage/customcage.htm. I hope that everything goes well with your new tank.

Thanks I'll take a look at that site. I think we are just going to buy a new tank instead of building. A pet store near by has a tank that is 4 feet long by 2 high and 2 deep so I think instead of building one (that was the size I was going to rebuild my other one was a tad to LARGE) I might buy that one for $129.00 My mom said she would help and Aaron (my boyfriends mom) said to tell her what it cost to rebuild and she'd help to. I guess the whole tank was COVERED in bugs so thats why she sprayed the tank down not knowing we couldn't clean it. She came buy today to drop some stuff off and apologize. I can't be mad at her forever though because the way it's going I'm going to end up marrying into that family lol!

But Little Buddy is staying at my house now forever and I will have to tell Aaron that he doesn't get him back until we move out together. I can't have that happen again.

If you want go to www.glasscages.com they sell terrariums for a dollar a gallon. They're acrylic but for that price who cares and thats where I'm going to get my new babies tank from.
