I was so happy. i ran to the petstore and bought him 50 crickets for him to pig out on. He said he found it inside of his truck when he was checkin ghis oil or sumthin. But now he is acting very scared. before i lost him he would eat from my hand now he tries to bight it.How long will it take for him to recover do you guys think?

so he was under the hood???? weird! Thats is terrific, though!

It may take him some time to get back to normal - who knows what he was subjected to in the past week or so. I would give him privacy and let him get reacclimated to his environment. I would not make any changes with his feeding, furniture , or routine - you want him to feel safe again.

Very happy for you!

your neighbor must have been quite surprised! lol!

I had a cat do that once get out and crawl under someones hood.
It cost my parents several hundred in vet bills and that was more than 20 years ago. His face got hit by the fan and he was so badly mangled his jaw had to be wired back together. He lost his sight in one eye. He lost part of his tongue. Plus he hid for 3 days and came back to the house full of maggots all in his sinus passages and in al his wounds.
They had to give him antibiotics and remove the maggots and wait to see if he would survive from the infection before starting to piece him back together because he was too weak for the surgery at first. He made it and lived 12 more years after that. If your cham had crawled into his fan I doubt the vet could put him back together. Man did you get lucky. You need to re name him either Ford or Chevy.
