Sounds almost too good to be true - make sure it comes from a reputable breeder.

I guess if you've been looking for a pied males you can find them at that price forgive me for being wrong - I personally haven't seen any for that low - seems like the lowest I've seen them has been $5K bottom scale but I haven't really been looking.

My concern would not be that the animal was not pied - but it's not exactly unusual in this industry for someone to sell an animal at a reduced price because it may have issues that aren't disclosed. Like I said - I haven't seen males for that low - but I haven't exactly been looking either - I guess if they do go for that cheap then it's not a red flag and then there would be nothing to worry about. Buy away!!

I was looking through some web-site that had nothing to do with Pythons (I was looking for a Puppy) and I ended up in a foreign type classifieds area. Well I saw that there was a Gentleman from Africa that was selling reptiles so I inquired about Ball Python availability. This is a portion of his reply:

"ALL SNAKES ARE CAPTIVE BRED

99 ALBINO BALL PYTHONS.........59 FEMALES....$850
EACH,(520-610grams) 40 MALES.....$750 EACH
(420-510grams.)..........................34 SOLD OUT

20 PIED BALL PYTHONS.........13 FEMALES.....$900
EACH,(350-490grams),7 MALES(370-401grams)........$800 EACH.
........................28 SOLD OUT"

The kicker is that he is from Nigeria, and thats where the snakes are, and I was informed that Nigeria can not export Ball Pythons due to CITES
I told him I wanted a Pied, and if everything went well I would purchase a few more Albino's and Pied's. He gave me instructions but no further info as far as an account # or Proper name.
He was nice enough though to ask me if I wanted WC or CB! LOL!!!

Talk about to good to be true. I wouldn't even call this guy back! Not worth the risk. Just my opinion.

Sounds like a twist on the Nigerian scam. I have read a story where a guy scams the scammers. I laughed so hard I cried. He just kept stringing the scammer along promising to pay as soon as he could get more info, and then later told him that he could not do anything with someone from another faith... so the guy converted to some made up religion that requires you to paint a red circle around your nipple. The scammer even sent pictures as requested.

Later the guy was getting bored, so he told the scammer that he was in a hurry to get the money because he had just killed his girlfriend. His living girlfriend let him make her up with fake blood and laid in his bathtub for pictures.

Read the story for full info.

Tosha, I agree with you. It could be true but check it out for certain. I have not seen them too low lately.

For a WC 0.1 Pied, the total price is $1150.00
Which includes CITES export fees, microchipping, health cert. and some other stuff. He also signs off with Dr.! Oh only if it were true..........
