Some New Jungle photos and more...*Dial-up Warning*

wetceal Jul 10, 2005 10:55 PM

Charged up my batteries today so I took a bunch of new photos. Anyways, just wanted to share them with everyone here. It's a nice little break from all that heavy debating/discussions we had last week LOL

Hypo Jungle

A couple of Jungle girls - the one on the left has extremely odd coloration while the one on the right has pinkish colored eyes...

The girls with a normal...

An older Jungle - she was fairly dark today but still gorgeous

And now...some NON-JUNGLES LOL!

Coral Albino...

And some of our newest addtions - LEOPARD BOAS! We love these guys! We were lucky enough to pick up a pair of juvenile Leopards. The male is from John Martino and the female is from Justin Higgs. Big thanks go out to both of these guys from some AWESOME animals!!

The male...

The female...

THANKS FOR LOOKING!

I know it's not luck but tons of hard work. Great looking boas, hopefully I'll have some of those in my collection in the next few years.

a little bit of luck with a TON of hard work! Anyways, just keep working at the dream...it's what we all do!

Seeing the two varying jungles next to the normal is interesting as well. Must be a blast to sort through jungles litters like you got to this season.

They look awesome. I love the comparison pictures.

Those leopard boas are great aren't they? I never use to like them. Then, I saw Linda's. They are friggin cool! Expecially those black eyes.

Leopards are definitely VERY cool! I always liked them but fell in love with them last year when I saw them in Daytona. I actually REALLY like the Hets too. They have a very unique look to them. I hope to pick up a few Het females this year too.

As for the Jungles...you gotta get one!! They're fantastic!

Thanks,
Celia

Jungles are always beautiful with their light/bright color and bold saddle constrast...Leopards are strangely beautiful...and that coral is amazing. I spend $3000 on a coral that was supposed to be better than average, and by 3.5-4 feet his coralling was so faint you had to look hard to see it. You could not see it from any distance at all. I wish mine would have turned out like that, I never would have parted with him.

Sorry to hear about your not-too-coral Coral Albino Boa experience. If you're looking to try again, I would recommend Burke Reptiles.

I picked up my Coral Albino girl from Tom and Amanda Burke in Daytona. She was a "possible" Coral Albino which is how Tom has the Albinos from his Coral line labled because you can't really tell how they will turn out when they are babies.

My girl was not a new born but already a couple months old with some size to her. When I picked her up from the Burkes she was already developing a bit of color on her head. She has definitely impressed me over the past year as she has grown. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another "possible" Coral from Tom and Amanda because they sure to produce some killer animals!

The crazy thing is - the photos of this girl don't even do her justice!!!!!

Thanks,
Celia

I will go that route next time. The male I bought was already at least 2.5 feet, but the pic wasn't the best, though it did show he was coral. But, when I saw him in person I could see the pale coraling up close and thought it would deepen with time. A foot later, it was still just as light. I didn't want a light coral when I paid for a better than average coral. I probably should have gone back to the breeder, but I felt nothing would be done about it because I waited to see if the color would intensify, so I sold him for a thousand less than I paid for him. That had to be about the worst purchase I ever made. I'm sure he would have passes on the color gene, but I didn't light, I wanted something that stood out, and I thought that is what I paid for.sigh...
Thank you for the Burke info, if I ever get together that kind of money again, I will certainly give them an email.

...great photography with awesome boas, the result is only mind-blowing. I wish I had a Leopard, my possible het female will have to do until I can get the cash though. Funny, she has Black eyes just like the Leopards!

The jungle with the red eyes is awesome, I guess I am a little on the off side, but I think high color Jungles are better than the Hypo Jungles. Although a Bloody Jungle would be killer!

wetceal Jul 12, 2005 12:01 AM

a Bloody Jungle *WOULD* be killer! I can't wait to see one of those! We are only at the tip of the iceberg with the Jungle morph!

As for the Leopards, I really dig them and have grown to really appreciate them. Can't wait to produce some babies!

Thanks,
Celia

wetceal Jul 12, 2005 12:20 AM

I've got my fingers crossed for you! Let me know if they prove out...I'm sure we can work out some sort of trade...I like bloods

Celia

I have a couple of years to wait on them! I am sure by then you'll have one, lol.

You really should talk to Amanda about getting one. I know she regrets sending me my girl, now that she is RED and ORANGE!

topnotchboas Jul 12, 2005 10:30 AM

I spoke with Mr.Kahl on the phone yesterday specificly about jungles. He says the supers he had this year are totally mind blowing... the jungles he is producing now are completely out of this world. One of the most exciting, if not THE most exciting morph hes working with. That says alot to me!

Congratulations, Celia! Thanks for sharing the picures! I always enjoy seeing them.
