Well I had an 04' male born in/around July. I got him in December when he was 12" long. Right now he is about 24" long.

Bought last January at Petco, he was about 18 inches long. (California Zoological Supply was the breeder, in Santa Ana.)
He is now about 24 inches long.

Which is most likely? 2003 or 2002??

I'm thinking that this is his 2nd year. He's starting to get somewhat meaty. Do you think that they fed seldom before his sell and that he's actually a 2002 hatchling?

I would think it was a 2003 hatchling that was fed well.

I'm inclined to agree. From my "Owner" notes:

Had been fed every Tuesday, frozen-thawed pinkies, sometimes ate 2.

When mine was around 18", he was eating usually 4 day old pinkies every 3-4 days. Powerfeeding, but it worked.

They hatch at 8-10 inches usually, and generally double their length every year until full grown.

Two times 9 inches is 18 inches. Her length appears to be about normal.

The lady I bought my hypo brooksi from said that my female was no more than 5 or 6 months old. I've had her almost a month and a half, and she is already about 21 inches long. I feed her every 4 days. Yesterday, she ate 4 BIG pinky mice. That was her 4th feeding from me and everytime she has DEFINITELY not declined the food.
