need help with a sick frog

ahphule Jul 15, 2003 02:19 PM

I have a green sip tinctorius that is acting strange. it's body posture is all wrong. It is sitting flat between it's legs with it's knees up almost resting on it's sides. rather than tucked in a normal crouch. when I feed it it raises up and hunts but it's hips seem to shift between it's hind legs like they are loose. It is about a year old and it seemed health. Any idea whar is going on?

Thanks

Do you think it could be molting? If so, then the strange posteur should subside within an hour or so. If this behavior has been going on for some time, then there is a problem. Is it receiving dusted food items regularly, because a lack of calcium can result in bone and joint problems.
