Color...scale tipping

I recently began a collection of milksnakes. Namely Nelsoni.
Plenty of experience with large constrictors, but none with milks.
I have a sub-adult albino Nelsoni, that while handling recently,I noticed the red color, is tipping also within the yellow bands.Not much, just a few scales on each band.
Is this normal?
