Have any of you who have the FL permit had the FWC come and inspect your house?

I was filling out the form and noticed it asked for the name of the business - I don't have one I just want to sell some corn snakes that have hatched.

It also says the officers may come to inspect, which would be fine if I had a business, but I'm not too keen on having a FWC vehicle parked in front of my house.

First you don't have to be a buisness to apply for the license. It can be an individual or buisness but part of the regulation of the License is that FWC officers can come by and inspect your place if they feel the need to. Also in case you are unaware, the Florida Dept. of Agriculture can come and inspect your place as well. I have FWC come by about twice a year unless I need them more often. I am a buisness but it does not matter. Most the time you (as an individual) will never see them unless there is a problem. Same thing goes for Dept. of Agriculture. They have inspected my facility one time in the last 5 years. It nothing to worry about unless you are doing something you should not be doing.

HI,
I have had permit to sell, and venomous since the mid eighties.
The only time they ever came to inspect was when I moved and reported a different address. I am an individual not a business.
The officer was friendly and professional. If you are following all the regulations there is nothing to worry about.
They have called me a couple of times to see if I would go check out a venomous snake report. Buddy Grout.
