Budgett Frog diet??

modsquad5150 Jul 11, 2005 12:42 PM

I have a budgetts frog and i usually feed it either pinkies, goldfish, crickets and sometimes some meal worms. Is there anything else I can throw in there for variety??? I find it hard to find good information on the net pertaining to budgetts frogs. Also what kind of setup works best?? I did read something about that where they mentioned semi deep water with a clay or silt at the bottom to burrow in and something floating at top for the frog to be able to hold onto to come to rest at the top. Let me know if anyone has some different information.

thats pretty much all wrong mate they need to be around 80 degrees daytime 75 at night , water no more thanthree inches deep and dont feed em goldfish too often , theyre not all that nutritious also watch yr fingers .
they NEED to be estivated every feww months or they die , the crickets are are fine , but you should never feed amphbians mealworms as they have a horrible habit of chewing their way back out , and killing your pet
