I've never had a problem getting them to take appropriately sized crickets. They can be somewhat prone to dehydration so you always want to have a water bowl available and spraying them once a day also helps (they won't eat if they're dehydrated). UV light may also be beneficial for these guys. Crickets should be dusted with a calcium and vitamin supplement (I recommend repti-cal & herptivite) before being fed to your lizard. Crickets should also be fed things like fish flakes, crushed high quality dog & cat food, rodent chow and fruits and veggies for moisture. Crickets should be allowed to feed for at least 4 hours before they're offered to the skink since half the nutrition your skink gets will come from the stomach contents of its prey.
